Food Festival!
Ok, yesterday I couldn't think of anything other than Diwali, and today I'm stuck on food! :p
As you all know, my sister is home for Diwali. So we both have been on a massive cooking spree this week! Especially the last 3 days of her visit, viz. yesterday, today & tomorrow. Yes, she's leaving tomorrow.
But anyways, there's still plenty of time for the "bye byes"! Let me tell you all about all the yum food we have been gorging on! Shobhit! Are you reading this? :p

Yesterday was Diwali... and we had the South Indian "Upma" for breakfast, Italian "Spaghetti with Cheese Balls" for lunch, and then finally the "Singhania's Traditional Aloo Jhol" with "Panchmela" and "Parathas" for dinner!
Today, we had yesterday's left-overs (!!!) for breakfast, followed by home-made "Chow Mein" and "Fried Rice" (both Chinese dishes) in lunch, and then "Corn & Vegetable Au Gratin" (a part of the French cuisine), with toasted slices of bread, for dinner!
So, we covered South Indian, North Indian, Italian, Chinese and French... in just 2 days! And tomorrow, we have the menu as "Poha" for breakfast (that hails from Western India), and "Sattu ka Paratha" for lunch (Sattu coming from East India)... both on special request by my sister.

By the way, we also made delicious "Gond ke laddoo" earlier this week! Shobhit, are you turning green with jealousy by now? :p He he! Will be sharing some recipes soon. Have a great weekend... see you all tomorrow same time!
This is my sixth post for NaBloPoMo November 2010.

Grrrr....
You know what... I saw this post on the Blogger dashboard, looked and the title and decided to skip it...
But as usual, couldn't get over the temptation... The picture of the dish not helping much too...
And here I am... having read whole of the post... as quickly as I could... trying not to spend time on any of the typed words... and wincing at every food-related-word that met the eye and registered itself in the mind...
I'll have my revenge... Sooner than later...
Grrrrrrr....
whoa, so much u cooked!! I ordered food from outside on Diwali... psst! But made up for it today, on Bhai Dooj, by cooking an elaborate lunch for the family and extended family!
Cheers!
Wow! Happy eating and celebrating!
The upma looks delicious... and must be :)
In B'lore nobody is in a mood to cook... or do anything for that matter. Its very cold and pouring cats and dogs :(
@ Shobhit: :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
@ Restless: He he! My sister wanted all home-made food since she doesn't get that in Delhi.
@ Roshmi: It started getting a bit cold here, but then got warm again! Though all this cooking PLUS the Diwali shopping and puja arrangements and everything else was very exhausting! I'm feeling real sleepy today!
